Rock Art Tours

Most of the sites for viewing rock art in the Sedona area are in areas that require some driving on dirt roads, and a bit of hiking. If you are only visiting the region briefly there are nonetheless some good options.

Several of the jeep tour companies offer tours which can take you to areas which might not be so easily accessed by a regular passenger car. Red Rock Jeep tours offers several, as well as Pink Jeeps.

There are other locally available tours with smaller companies as well.

One outstanding site which is easily accessible by car is the VbarV ranch. There is a rock art wall with over 1,000 images, truly a spectacular site. Caretakers watch the site to protect the rock art from damage, and also provide insight about the history and meaning of the petroglyphs.
